Art boost for Breast Cancer Appeal

Following the launch of the N&N Hospitals Charity new Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal in October, local artist Karen Johnson Davies has been inspired to donate to the fund, the proceeds from the sale of her paintings at the Art Fair East.

The Art Fair East 2018 will have hundreds of works by international and regional artists on show and sale at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich.

Karen’s current collection is inspired and dedicated to the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

Karen said: “I’m delighted to support the Boudicca Appeal. I have been involved in Health and Social Care throughout my working life and I, like many others, have a personal connection to the campaign and hope that my paintings express a sense of optimism, fragility and strength.

“The paintings on show at the launch of the appeal were a sample of my current collection which is being exhibited at Art Fair East  and all proceeds of the works will be donated to Boudicca.”

Louise Cook, Head of Fundraising, said: “We hope people will be inspired, like Karen, to use their talents to fund raise and help us reach our target sooner. ‘’

29th November – 3rd December

Charity Christmas Tree Festival

The N&N Hospital Charity will be shining bright this Festive season as Christmas trees, decorated by local businesses, will transform St Peter Mancroft Church in Norwich into a glittering spectacle.

For the first time, the N&N Hospitals Charity will have its very own tree, kindly sponsored by The Forum Trust, which will represent our Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal which was launched at the end of October.

The appeal aims to raise £800,000 to open a larger breast cancer unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital which will mean patients will receive same-day diagnostic tests and imaging assessment, eliminating the wait currently facing some patients.

The Charity Christmas Tree Festival will be officially opened by the Lord Mayor in the church on Wednesday, November 28th and will be open to the public from Thursday, November 29th until Monday, December 3rd.
